Member of Parliament for Chichester
I have lived in Petworth for seven years, and prior to being elected as an MP I served as a Councillor and Cabinet member on Chichester District Council. She is active in the community through a variety of roles; as Board Governor at St Richards, a member of the Rural and Coastal West Sussex Partnerships and Director of the Business Improvement District in Chichester City Centre and more.
As your MP, my immediate priorities are nationally to secure our continued economic success as we leave the EU and locally to support the work of our communities to find the right solution for the A27, protect our environment as we build more housing and fight for proper funding for our schools.
I'm not a career politician and have worked for 27 years in corporate businesses. I started as an apprentice in a car factory in Merseyside where I grew up and lived and worked abroad during a successful international business career in the technology and banking sectors.
I currently invest in start-up businesses through a venture capital fund and we have invested in 14 technology companies to date.
I recently studied a Sloan Fellowship MSc in Leadership and Strategy from London Business School.
I’m married to Michael and have two wonderful step-sons who are both at university.
